During
a
recent
engagement at
the
Chumash
Casino
in
Santa
Ynez
California,
Country
Western
Superstar
Tanya
Tucker
arrived
at
the
airport
only
to
discover
that
her
luggage
did
not. Unfortunately
no
luggage
meant
no
costumes
for
her
scheduled
performance. Members
of
her
entourage were
advised to
go
the
Outpost
Trading
Company
located in
Santa
Ynez
to
get
new clothing
for
her
show. Ms.
Tucker
was
told
about
Nance's
art
and
the
next
day,
Tanya
went
to
the
store
and
bought
one
of
Nance's
pieces
for
her
collection
in
addition
to
her
other
items.
Nance
is
tickled
to
know
that
she
could
contribute
to
the
happiness
of
someone
she
has
been
a fan
of
for
so
many
years!

About
Nancy |
 |
Born
in
Cleveland,
Ohio,
I
attended
Kent
State
University
with
a
major
in
Art
education.
I
have
taught
art
in
private
and
public
schools.
I
have
received
awards
and
recognition
from
various
institutions
and
organizations.
Many
of my
works
hang
in
private
collections
here
in
California
and
the
rest
of
the
US.

I
do
have
a few
male
clients
also.
I
also
want
people
to
feel
good
about
themselves
and
optimistic
about
the
future.
When
one
collector
of my
work
noticed
one
of my
prints
in
their
psychiatrist’s
office,
I was
thrilled.
I
couldn’t
imagine
a
better
place
for
an
uplifting
lighthearted
artwork
to be
put
to
good
use.
I use many
materials
to convey
my images
in my
western
paintings
of horses
and
Cowgirls-
watercolors,
acrylics,
collage,
inks and
almost any
art medium
that will
do the job.
My goal,
using a
combination
of mixed
media and
watercolors,
is to make
people,
mostly
women,
smile.
I
presently
reside
in
Ventura,
California,
with
my
husband
of 35
years
and
my
wonderful
cat
Georgie,
my
“muse“.
